The company is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team.

Education Level

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree

Work Experience

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, work with system integration issues, design challenges, etc., demonstrated through hands-on experience.
  • Experienced with GD&T, sketching, technical drawing standards, or similar hands-on hardware support.
  • Hands‑on experience with machining, rapid prototyping, or lab equipment (CNC, 3‑D printers, test rigs)
  • Experience with MATLAB.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist production and development teams, resolving technical challenges, incorporating engineering changes, updating drawings/assembly parts lists, and developing new designs and tools.
  • Demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult production and design issues.
  • Support hardware operations and may provide support to engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, as well as supplier support.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Active clearance.
  • Basic FEA/CFD exposure (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).
  • Basic understanding of industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM).
  • Demonstrated successful group collaboration or individual project work, ideally in a mechanical or design area.
  • Participation in engineering clubs, competitions (e.g., SAE, ASME competitions).
  • Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as PTC Creo, 3DX/CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc.

Work Environment

  • Collaborates with engineers and technicians
  • May visit sites for testing or inspections
  • Regular 40-hour workweeks; occasional overtime
  • Uses CAD software and design tools
  • Works in offices, workshops, or factories
