Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the growing development of our Louver Products for a variety of high-velocity, wind-driven rain, and hurricane impact applications.
Be developing turnkey product applications from sales concepts, design options, simulations, project management, and rapid prototyping into mass production.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from a college/university
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Review Sales plans to understand the scope of work and our customer needs
- Determine design feasibility, specifications, and objectives, and forecast a predictable trial schedule
- Develop trial build instructions, validate quality control methods, witness lab testing/builds
- DFM: Design for manufacturing
- Able to present the development status to other departments and abroad
- Provide technical guidance along with sound engineering principals
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to make, read, analyze drawings, and understand stack-up tolerances and press fits
- Able to apply fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts to the job.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in team environments, good written and oral communicational skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing situations
- High attention to detail and solid organizational skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor
- Development of Product Standard Drawings
Preferred Qualifications
- 3D Printing
- Accreditations knowledge with 3rd party companies
- GD&T
- Manufacturing experience with welding, assembly, and machine shops
- Project management skills
- VBA is a plus
