Job Profile
The company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who requires creativity and innovation to propose, prototype, and deliver new concepts and designs related to industrial electronic enclosures in harsh environments.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical engineering or related discipline from a college or university.
Work Experience
- The candidates should have 4 or more years of experience in a related engineering role
Duties/Responsibilities
- Designs molded, welded, etched, stamped, machined, and extruded components
- Documentation and report generation for all design phases and verification test results
- Maintain version control of all designs and documents
- Material selection and capability surveys to aid in the down selection of new technologies
- No supervisory responsibilities
- Prototype testing in an industrial lab setting
- Simulation to quickly iterate early design decisions
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to generate optimal system solutions for new products
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Battery engineering experience is a plus.
- Experience in database control mechanisms and quality assurance
- A Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Working knowledge of thermal simulation software such as Solidworks Simulation or Creo Simulate
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to support a collaborative team environment
- Exposure to 3D CAD and simulation
- Good engineering communications and documentation skills
- Must be able to differentiate colors.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Strong computer skills to leverage modern CAD tools and simulation packages
- The ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them to new designs
