Job Profile

The company is hiring a Specialist Mechanical Engineer who will develop and optimize propulsion system components and assemblies, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • In place of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior Mechanical Engineering experience.

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in failure analysis and root cause investigations to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and testing, to develop and validate prototypes and production units.
  • Design and develop components for solid propulsion systems, including nozzles, casings, and propellant grains.
  • Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and participate in design reviews.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in propulsion technology and incorporate relevant innovations into design processes.
  • Work with the analysis teams to ensure the performance and reliability of propulsion components.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Active US security clearance is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team (a plus)
  • Experience with additive manufacturing techniques and their application in propulsion system components.
  • Experience with propulsion system testing and validation.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as those from NASA, DoD, or similar organizations, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, NX).
