Job Profile

The company is seeking a Mechanical Fitter (C10B Maintenance) who will be responsible for maintaining various fixed plants and equipment within our recycling yard, including conveyors, a hammer mill, shears, and balers.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification

Work Experience

• Possess conveyor maintenance experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to work overtime in case of breakdown and plant shutdown as required
• Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities
• Completing repairs in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring machine availability
• Participate in maintaining a clean work area
• Recommend and implement improvements to plant and work practices
• Working with other tradespeople to complete repairs

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Experience fitting and troubleshooting in a production/industrial environment
• Fabrication and welding skills (Mig, Arc, and Oxy Cutting)
• Strong background in maintenance, servicing, and repairs

Desirable Criteria-

• Forklift and EWP license (highly regarded)
