Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to join its team.
Education Level
- Time-served apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, equivalent to either City and Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3
- HNC/HND qualified or equivalent, with a Mechanical Engineering bias (desired)
Work Experience
- Experience with PC pumps and wastewater product assemblies
- Mechanical Seal knowledge
- Extensive experience with PC pumps and wastewater products, preferably within a service background
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to conduct production tests to established procedures, and complete accurate test reports
- Assemble Pump & Mixer equipment whilst working on company procedures
- Comply with all NOV Company, Quality + HSE policies and procedures
- Ensure all components that are being assembled are fit for purpose
- Fitting of components or modules as directed by engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Operate machines or use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place.
- Providing cover for any other positions within the department
- Recording work carried out for tracking purposes
- To operate equipment safely, producing products that conform to quality specifications
- Travel as and when required
- Work closely with colleagues during build/install to ensure a smooth and efficient build process
- Working to and maintaining good housekeeping standards
- Perform any other work-related tasks and duties under the business needs
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Basic Electrical experience
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- HSE awareness
- Manual handling training/Slinging and Lifting Training
- Motor Wiring (certified)
- Carry out all duties following the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.
- Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.
- Participate in training where required.

- Carry out all duties safely and under the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training, and instruction.
- To be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to the HSE representative.
