Duties/Responsibilities

Account Generation/Sales Growth-

  • Drive seal sales in conjunction with current sales staff.
  • Follow up on referrals and new leads
  • Identify business opportunities and threats
  • Monitor and report competitor activities to company colleagues and management
  • Regularly improve product knowledge by attending company and vendor-sponsored training programs

Account Management-

  • Continuously update all customers on company product capabilities, services, and enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to expand the product base within every customer account
  • Liaising between the company, vendors, and customers for up-to-date information on pricing, service, and other issues
  • Maintain Company’s Customer Relationship Management database with current information
  • Maintain established customer relationships with regular visits
  • Review customer operations to improve business process opportunities

Customer Relations-

  • Assist with shipment issues; resolve product-related problems
  • Communicate expected delivery dates and expedite orders as necessary
  • Complete expense reports in a timely fashion
  • Develop the plan to achieve territory sales goals and targets
  • Generate proposals, presentations, and sales contracts
  • Prepare required sales reports for management
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise

  • Ability to communicate complicated technical issues
  • Demonstrate negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Highly innovative, proactive, and target-oriented individual
  • Knowledge of the issues affecting distribution, manufacturing, and supply chain management

  • Strong selling and customer service skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, and support systems
  • Team player in a dynamic environment within a matrix organization
  • Willingness to travel
