Job Profile
The company is hiring a Mechanical Superintendent who will oversee the daily mechanical construction activities at the work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and project progress.
Needs to be familiar with various field concepts, practices, and procedures in specified disciplines.
Must be able to read prints and do take-offs for piping, steel, and civil jobs.
Ability to schedule out manpower as well as deal with emergency work with little to no notice.
Manage Foreman in the field along with tracking the progress of the jobs.
Lead the team in installation, assembly, dismantlement, maintenance, troubleshoot, and repairs.
Strong knowledge of conveyors and pumps is a must.
Candidate must be able to set up, operate, and safely maintain welding equipment.
Service and fix a variety of machines within the industrial setting to keep the plant in continuous production.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day
- Ability to perform work at above-ground elevations while wearing a harness and other protective equipment
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Able to analyze productivity trends and adjust work activities to optimize production
- Assess workforce, material, tool, and construction equipment needs and arrange for these components to support the needs of the project
- Develop solutions for routine problems using defined processes and own experience and able to develop and implement work.
- Enforce job site safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the Company’s Safety Program
- Inspect angles, and gap allowances using precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of welding various metals using SMAW, and GTAW processes
- Lay out projects and execute them in an effective manner
- Possess the knowledge and experience to layout and fit pipe
- Review cost reports and projections and act to effectively manage job costs to levels within the contract budget
- Supervise daily Pipe fitting, welding, and light mechanical/rigging activities
- Additional Duties as assigned

Physical Abilities-
- Ability to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, cleaning, shoveling, and painting.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.

- Must be able to climb ladders repetitively
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and a safe manner
