Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating a manual polishing or buffing lathe.

• Blueprint reading
• Grinding and polishing
• Plating techniques
• Quality inspection
• Surface preparation

Work Environment

• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

• Requires good hand-eye coordination and the ability to produce quality parts quickly.
• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently require to talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
