Job Profile

The company is searching for an Equipment Mechanic who will work with mid-size construction equipment such as generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards, and arrow boards as well as others to inspect, repair, and maintain the equipment. Ensure the machines continue to run safely at optimum efficiency.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have passed an Associate’s Degree in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Small Engine Repair, or related field from a college/university, or equivalent experience

Work Experience

• The candidates are expected to have previous welding, hydraulic, and electrical experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance on midsize equipment, including aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards, and arrow boards.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read blueprints, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, fuel, and brake lines
• Possess mechanical skills and be familiar with parts and components of complex machinery and engines, as well as the tools to fix them.
• Possess troubleshooting skills – ability to look at mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, identify problems, and think about possible solutions.
• Possess technical skills and be familiar with electronics
• Detail-oriented.
