The company is seeking a Mig Welder to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma

Work Experience

• 4 years of welding experience, OR
• Completion of an accredited 4 years of welder’s training program, OR
• Completion of an accredited 2-year welder’s training program and 2 years of welding experience, OR
• Any equivalent combination of experience or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to climb and work from a ladder to make welds.
• Ability to operate/cut material with hand plasma.
• Control the processes of fitting, burning, and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating distortion, expansion, or shrinking of spare parts.
• Follow all safety procedures set by the company.
• Grind and clean weld joints.
• Identify quality defects according to company standards.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a fixture.
• Use any hand tools required for a specific job.
• Weld materials together with and without fixtures.
• Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Accuracy and attention to detail are required.
• Capable of lifting 75 lbs.
• Capable of reading work instructions and orders.
• Capable of standing/bending/crouching for a 10-hour shift.
• Capable of using and reading measuring tools.
