Job Profile

The company is looking for a Millwright who will install, troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, and maintain the facility’s equipment, tools, and machinery.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 4 years of Journeymen Maintenance responsibilities and completion of a millwright training program or an equivalent combination of classroom training and experience. (Journeyman Maintenance Millwright)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to provide own set of hands tools to perform all functions of repair work and maintenance.
• Adheres to plant and department safety rules; safely operates all equipment and tools; identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible.
• Completes logs and records
• Fabricates machinery, tool, and equipment components as required to maintain systems.
• Follows written and verbal instructions with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
• Job duties may include limited hazardous waste management including removal of equipment that may contain hazardous material residue and transferring hazardous waste containers to the facility’s hazardous waste storage locations. Comprehensive hazardous waste training will be required annually for those millwrights engaged in hazardous waste management activities.
• Provides technical assistance in the design and selection of equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs facility’s operations and physical systems; performs work in compliance with applicable codes.
• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing machinery, tools, and equipment for vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, induction heating, lubrication, abrasive and pressure cleaning systems, and their components.
• Utilizes machinery manuals for assistance with troubleshooting.
• Works with Hazardous material, machinery, pumps, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and to work independently.
• Ability to operate machine shop equipment, vertical mill, and lathe.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow specifications on Tech Cards, blueprints, and drawings.
• Ability to repair all hydraulic, pneumatic, induction heating, lubrication, abrasion, and pressure systems.
• Ability to weld all positions with Stick and MIG welders.
• Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, and other elements for extended periods of time.
• Electrical knowledge, fuse checking, and motor removal.
• Extensive mechanical background.
• Knowledge of forklift operation.
• Knowledge of vacuum technology, pumps, environments, and terminology.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop and climb.
• Ability to communicate, write, use and operate department equipment.
• Ability to exert up to ninety pounds of force to move objects.
• Ability to work in conditions that may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
