Job Profile

Lehigh Materials is hiring a Millwright who will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair work on all site mechanical equipment to keep the plant running smoothly and efficiently.

Educational Qualification

• Possess a valid interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright ticket or Red Seal Welder/Metal Fabricator

Work Experience

• Experience working in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Anticipate problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Consult manufacturer’s manuals to determine maintenance procedures.
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities, and respond to malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and with Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain, repair, and replace mechanical systems and associated equipment.
• Operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
• Perform field inspections of equipment for safe and proper operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance work on all site mechanical equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
• Ability to solve practical problems and perform all technical aspects of the job using the appropriate tools or systems.
• Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
• Proficient computer skills.
• Requires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positions.
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, sometimes 75+ lbs.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
