The company is hiring a Millwright/Maintenance Technician to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

• 1 year of recent verifiable related work history or educational equivalent
• Industrial/commercial mechanical maintenance experience (a plus)

License/Certification

• Must have current welding certification

Duties/Responsibilities

• Effectively manage time and materials for each project
• Ensure product and process quality through self-inspection of finished products
• Fabrication, repair, and perform diagnostics for manufacturing equipment and processes
• Focus on current work while planning the next stages of work
• Identify and communicate opportunities and take measures to reduce waste
• Install and troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment that is reliable and consistent
• Operate cutting torch, welders, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck
• Perform general maintenance safely and efficiently, and maintain a clean work area
• Recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic (oil/air logic) controlled equipment
• Weld various materials using MIG, TIG, and stick
• Work may consist of various shifts, with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs

Work Environment

• May involve shift work, nights, or weekends
• Often noisy, with heavy machinery and tools
• Requires standing, bending, and lifting for long periods
• Safety gear (helmets, gloves, goggles) is worn at all times
• Work in industrial or manufacturing environments
