Job Profile

The company is hiring a Motor Shop Welder who will set up and operate the Mig welder, Stick welder, and Air arc.

Set up and operate welder/plasma cutters, torches, and bore tech machines for welding and fabricating small parts with shear and bender.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience or equivalent education/experience in a field or related area.
  • Ability to obtain AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel, Certified D1.1 AWS – FCAW, AWS – SMAW, AWS – GMAW

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Cut metal using a plasma arc or hand torch.
  • Cut straight lines or bevel long edges with a torch or plasma arc.
  • Measure lengths and widths correctly to build and repair products.
  • Obey all safety rules and perform housekeeping functions.
  • Read prints to cut metal and weld equipment.
  • Weld large and small assemblies.
  • Perform other assignments under departmental supervision.
