Job Profile

The company is searching for an Engineering Technician (NDT) who will perform non-destructive tests on various materials and products.

Set up and maintain equipment and ensure calibration for tests to be performed.

Conduct inspections of materials, parts, and assemblies using automated and manual methods and techniques.

Interpret, evaluate, and report test results of specific products.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior NDT experience
• 2-year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior NDT experience

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assists higher-level NDT Technicians by performing standard non-destructive testing inspections on parts and assemblies.
• Assists in preparing components for non-destructive testing inspection utilizing available equipment and processes under the direct observation of higher-level technician(s).
• Assists in setting up and calibrating equipment under the direct observation of higher-level NDT Technicians.
• Works on non-destructive testing assignments of routine nature and limited complexity following established and well-known procedures where limited judgment is required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, blueprints, production plans, or work instructions.
• Basic arithmetic, algebra, and physics principles and operations to solve problems.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations.
• Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing methods.
• Knowledge of the techniques, tools, and equipment used in the inspection process.
