The company is recruiting an NDT Inspector II to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- ASNT-TC-1A Level 2 certified (required)
- Maintain NDE certifications following the facility’s QMS and ASNT-TC-1A requirements.
- A basic understanding and commitment to the requirements of ISO and API specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment
- Perform inspections on components
- Perform source inspections at facilities
- Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents
- Review inspection records received for compliance
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures
- Perform another work-related task as assigned
Specific Roles-
- Accomplish Dimensional inspections when assigned under drawings, engineering documentation, and product specifications
- Complete and review inspection records as required by QMS
- Inspect first run parts or vendor parts in receiving. Verify calibration of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy before use.
- Perform Nondestructive Evaluations (Hardness, Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Exams) as required by product specifications, routers, and other relevant documentation.
- Read blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions.
- Support and adhere to the Quality Management System and API Q1/ISO 9001:2015, including facility-specific licenses.
- Perform other work and related tasks as assigned by management.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to interact positively with the people whose work is being inspected.
- Ability to interface with manufacturing personnel.
- Ability to pass a visual acuity examination (Jager eye exam).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
