Job Profile
The company is recruiting an NDT Quality Inspector who will perform MT, VT, and dimensional inspections of materials/products to ensure conformance with all standards and requirements.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- Experience in the use of inspection tools and precision measuring equipment
- MT Level II (preferred)
- Quality Control experience
- VT Level II (preferred)
License/Certification
- CWI and UT (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections according to the requirements of AWS D1.1
- Perform magnetic particle inspection using the dry powder yoke method
- Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products
- Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed
- Comply with safety regulations at all times
- Participate in the training process of Level I Inspectors
- Have the ability to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time
- Welding background
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
Work Environment
- May work at heights or underground
- Often exposed to noise, heat, or confined spaces
- Requires PPE like helmets, gloves, and goggles
- Shift work and travel may be required
- Works in industrial or construction environments
