Job Profile
The company is hiring an Operations Supervisor (Weld) who will be responsible for leading production staff as assigned, overseeing our welding function.
Assign daily work goals, implement policies and procedures, and recommend ideas for improvements.
Responsible for holding production staff accountable for company and individual goals.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Work Experience
- 6-7 years of related production leadership experience – metal fabrication concepts and processes exposure (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Actively promote UA’s culture development process by modeling the behaviors we would like to see from all staff
- By communicating directly with staff, ensure everyone knows what they need to accomplish during their shift and are committed to accomplishing that goal
- Communicate directly and frequently with supervisors on different shifts, share fully what is known, and ensure there is clarity for what the next shift needs to do
- Document disciplinary contacts as they arise and follow UA’s progressive disciplinary policy
- Ensure all staff are performing job functions in a safe manner
- Ensure staff have all the materials and training necessary to accomplish the goal for the day
- Provide direct support by being present on the floor, answering questions, and removing hurdles for staff to accomplish their daily goals
- Review, approve, and process staff clocking (as well as vacation requests) daily. Follow up with staff daily to either encourage or correct the previous day’s transactions.

- Ability to effectively communicate through written and oral communication
- Able to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, basic hand tools, and air tools
- Effectively read and interpret blueprints
Work Environment
- Occasional travel may be required, approximately 10%
