Job Profile

The company is looking for an Operator who will be responsible for plant production operations/maintenance and repair of all plant fixed equipment.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining an aggregate facility
• Welding and cutting experience (highly preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to be multi-diversified in performing other related duties such as maintenance/repair, and yard loading when needed
• Able to understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form
• Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times
• Conducts preventative maintenance practices
• Examine and diagnose operational problems, and repairs according to accepted methods, establishes
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Operate facility in a production mode, maintaining established efficiencies
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations
• Schedule or call for repairs and parts
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime, and weekends.
• Core understanding of conveyor belts, shaker screens, sand screws, and cyclone operations.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English Working conditions
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Working Conditions

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently and 70 pounds occasionally, or a negligible amount of force frequently.
• Involves walking or standing for long periods of time
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, or pulling controls
• Regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
