Job Profile

The company is looking for a Paint Operator who will be responsible for operating electrostatic powder coating equipment to apply powder paint to metal products on a conveyorized paint line.

Assists with the hanging and removing components from the paint conveyor line and the maintenance and cleanup of spray equipment and work area.

Education Level

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency

Work Experience

• Current and valid weld certifications (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations.
• Complies with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility
• Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company-established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
• Ensures the product is not moved to the next operation until the required inspection and tests are complete.
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
• Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
• Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment
• Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures.
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
• Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
• Prepare parts for coating.
• Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Basic math and communication skills (required)

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs.
• Frequently bend, twist, and reach and may stand or walk up to 8-10 hours per day.

Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
• The job consists of working in a manufacturing facility.
• Job could consist of making changes by hand or by running machinery equipment.
