Job Profile

The company is looking for a Pipe/Coating Inspector (Pipe Mill) who will be responsible for conducting inspection activities in pipe mills, coating mills, or loading, unloading, and stockpile locations by following Client, Intertek, and Industry procedures.

Education Level

  • High School or GED or higher education

Work Experience

  • Prefer at least 5 years of experience with pipe-related quality assurance systems
  • Familiar with/able to interpret and understand – (a) national codes and standards, (b) specifications, drawings, and data sheets as they are related to multi-disciplinary construction and pipe projects

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection activities, using tools necessary for accurate measurement and determination of compliance with specifications
  • Provide daily inspection results to the Lead Inspector or Project Coordinator, preparing and issuing inspection reports, when required
  • Witness testing and monitor project activities, as required
  • Witness/verify pipe loadout onto trucks, railcars, barges, or ocean vessels by specifications and industry standards

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work well with others, multi-task, and be oriented.
  • Familiarity with email and internet communication systems.
  • Fluent in English (i.e., reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
