Job Profile
The company is looking for a Pipe Welder to join its team for various welding manufacturing needs.
A welder may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED
- Mississippi Tech Master Certification is preferred
Work Experience
- The candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience in the related field.
- Must have experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), also known as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) also known as stick welding.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), also known as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding
Other Qualifications
- GTAW (TIG) process used for root pass, 11018 electrodes used for weld fill portion and cap.
- Must pass military standard X-Ray welding test on stainless steel and copper-nickel in the 6G position (restricted).
- The pipe welding test is given in a restricted position (6 G) on a 5” schedule 80 carbon steel pipes.
