Job Profile

The company is hiring a Pipefitter who will cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.

Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.

Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.

Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.

Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.

Evaluate, design, and implement proper assembly for Turboexpander Machines

Education Level

• Certified ASME Welder (a plus)

Work Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Pipe Fitting within a manufacturing environment
• Refinery, high-pressure oil and gas piping experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Bend and fabricate tubing lines for instruments and lubrication consoles
• Cut and assemble piping using valves and tube fittings
• Determine materials needed to complete assembly
• Evaluate P&ID Drawings and design pipelines and tubing lines on machines
• Install instruments which include differential gages, switches, and transmitters

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to read P&ID drawings
• Mechanical knowledge of plumbing
• Understanding of basic welding

Work Environment

• Subject to a manufacturing environment, conditions, noise, oils, as well as being subjected to hazards such as, but not limited to, moving parts and vehicles, heat, and chemicals.
• Regularly required to talk and hear, stand, and walk.
• On occasion, the employee may bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb a ladder.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
