The company is hiring a Pipefitter to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma (required)
- Journeyman’s card or Journeyman status (preferred)
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an industrial pipefitter
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in the packing and loading of machines for shipment.
- Assist in the start-up and debugging of equipment.
- Assure good craftsmanship on jobs that are being built.
- Fill in where required for absences.
- Follow and enforce good housekeeping practices with all department personnel.
- Follow up with supervisor daily to report progress of job(s) being worked on.
- Know and understand due dates for jobs and schedule work accordingly.
- Must know how to read and interpret blueprints.
- Order material and follow up with Receiving when required.
- Provide feedback on job status to the Electric/Pneumatic Assembly Supervisor.
- Provide training and assistance to new employees.
- Recommend appropriate work methods or materials that will improve existing designs.
- Recommend, initiate, or follow up on engineering changes and document according to procedure(s).
- Take direction from the Leader or Supervisor
- Travel as needed to assist in installations, debugging, tryouts, or problem solving at customer locations.
- Work with Controls Engineers to correct any problems with the design of the machine/controls.

Work Environment
- Exposure to loud noises, heat, and hazardous materials is common
- May involve confined spaces or elevated locations
- Requires physical strength and stamina for lifting and standing
- Work hours can include nights, weekends, or overtime
- Work often takes place in industrial or construction environments
