Job Profile

The company is looking for a Pipefitter Foreman who will supervise and coordinate the activity of workers, predominantly from one occupation craft to ensure that work is done safely, correctly, and timely.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants may be required a High School Diploma
  • Worked as a journeyman in the piping craft for typically 7 years, 5 years of which should be as a Journeyman

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and resolves work-related problems
  • Assists workers in their performance of assigned duties
  • Be capable of listening and communicating with other supervisors and employees
  • Be motivated and work safely and productively
  • Checks equipment to ensure proper working conditions
  • Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
  • Inspects the quality of all work to ensure company standards and project specifications are met
  • Interprets and enforces company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations company policy to employees
  • Interprets written or oral orders, sketches, and blueprints to coordinate activities of assigned workers, materials, equipment, and tools
  • Maintains time and tracks production
  • May make cost estimates for contracts
  • May study schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules
  • Reviews material received at the job site to ensure it is correct and not defective
  • Understand and respond accordingly to all safety alerts, warnings, hazards, etc.
  • Use effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Compare and see differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
  • Comprehend blueprints, sketches, and plans

  • Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked
  • Reading and writing skills
  • Recognize and report safety hazards
  • See well (naturally or with corrections) and distinguish colors
  • Understand cost control and be able to implement it successfully

  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
