• 0-1 years of experience in the pipefitting field

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist senior employees with the layout, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic systems for steam, hot water fixtures, and equipment for steam, heating, cooling, lubricating, natural gas, and industrial production and processing systems.
• Assist in lifting, positions, and securing of material and work pieces during installation.
• Accurately apply basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversion of fractions and decimals.
• Utilize tape measures as required to perform the job.
• Move materials around job sites by lift trucks.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be highly safety conscious and have the ability to see and escape from dangerous situations.

Work Environment

• Ability to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipment.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors including times of inclement weather.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects.
