Job Profile

The company is seeking a Planner/Scheduler (Welding) who will work in a dynamic and high-tech production facility.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma
• Associate’s Degree

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 5 years of comparable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience will be considered

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adjust Work Order routings as necessary to satisfy special requirements.
• Balance demand and capacity through the entry of orders into Welding and Heat Treat Master Schedule.
• Continually monitor reports to maintain alignment of supply and demand of material.
• Help implement lean manufacturing techniques into the designated value stream including the facilitation and use of Kanbans, Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Scheduling Boards, and Best Practices.
• Maintain delivery prospectus.
• Maintain timely communication, with value streams, of necessary changes to customer Promise Date.
• Utilize Oracle enterprise system to plan and schedule orders relative to the customer request and material plan.
• Work with Value Stream Planners and Master Scheduler to define appropriate forecast a welding and heat treatment schedule.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• An understanding of lean manufacturing knowledge and tools.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Manage a master schedule that is valid, considering material availability and resource capacity.
• Manage all aspects of the backlog, including total backlog, late backlog, and lead time
• Solid computer skills including the use of Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Understand appropriate planning and manufacturing areas of Oracle Enterprise System
