The company is looking for a Plant Construction Field Pump Maintenance to join its team.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Check various pump brands i.e., Gould’s, Berkley, crane Deming’s, etc. turbine pumps, and check various pump brands i.e. Gould’s, Scherzo, GIW, etc. slurry pumps.
- Keep and maintain standard lube manual practices.
- Keep records of pump maintenance logged to ensure the prevention of damage.
- Obtain information to help with costly times to prevent costly damage to the pump
- Perform routine maintenance on pumps such as grease motor bearings, replace packings, check and fill oil levels, check psi for proper operation, and prevent downtimes.
- Record and replace bad pipe fittings etc.
- Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times by MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Travel to various sites across the region (up to 75% overnight travel).
- Will be asked to help in various job assignments {inspections that comply with plant construction group].
- Will work various hours of the day/night to complete the inspections/repairs needed.
- Working with plants on EMS routine maintenance i.e. oil changes/grease changing/replacing v-belts, adjusting or replacing impellers, and helping with replacing pumps.
- Working with the plant construction group as needed on projects throughout the division.
- Working with the water crew to help with repairs of pumps and or water-related projects.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Functional Knowledge – Must have a general knowledge of plumbing fitting and parts. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must have welding knowledge.
- Flexibility – Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
