Job Profile
The company is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic III who will perform diversified duties to maintain, repair, align and adjust all facilities equipment, and devices.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
- Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
- Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
- Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
- Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Uses hand and power tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Building Automation Systems.
- Experience with Compressed Air Systems (preferably Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser)
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience with Facility Maintenance issues and downstream impact on occupants.
- Thorough understanding of all systems and processes related to the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Understand regulated environment specifications, and how they are operated/maintained.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
- Analytical-thought process, ability to evaluate options, and make decisions.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to be independently mobile
- Required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
