Job Profile
The company is looking for a Plant Quality Manager who will plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combined education and experience.
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of related experience including supervisory experience.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in relevant JCMS action items/activities as pertains to your knowledge/skill set and technical ability.
- Assures that safe work practices are followed.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Coordinates warranty support activities to include manufacturing of parts and/or use of internal labor to perform warranty work including warranty tracking process and corrective actions.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Develops systems and procedures to clarify engineering work instructions.
- Manages product quality systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9000/14001.
- Participates in the ECN process and product team meetings to resolve quality issues.
- Participates in the review of design, manufacturing, purchasing, and test documentation to ensure that the design and customer’s requirements are met on assigned products.
- Performs quality-engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with requirements, including quality manuals and company quality records.
- Performs 2 Safetrack observations per month.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Works with customer service to address product issues, warranty, or other problems.
- Works with Purchasing to adjudicate vendor claims for recovery of money that result from vendor-related quality problems.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Demonstrated planning, problem-solving, data analysis, GD&T, blueprint reading, organizing, interpersonal, and communication skills with proven leadership skills and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing procedures, production methods (including machining and welding), shop standards, team building, SPC, and modern quality assurance applications.
