Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Analyze production schedules and estimate man-hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Assign job tasks to plant operators according to customer needs, current stock levels, and workers’ expertise.
- Conduct periodic checks of the generation plant for safe and efficient operation.
- Conducts or assures emergency training drills and exercises are performed and documented.
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of the capacities of machines and equipment.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Interprets company policies for workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Maintain neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance
- Maintains time and production records.
- Operate and safely maintain a high-pressure gas repackaging plant.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of a work crew.
- Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
- Resolve problems associated with plant operation.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of all plant operators.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend Materiel Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work varied shifts including some overtime, if necessary.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Work Environment
- Ability to perform work during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities.
- Ability to perform work during prolonged standing for up to 8 hours; Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.
- Ability to routinely lift 25-60 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110 degrees.
