Job Profile
The company is hiring a Pricing Manager who will lead the analyses that support the development and implementation of region pricing strategies, price execution, and overall price management.
In alignment with national strategy and policy, develops ongoing pricing analytics and timely actionable information for regional business leaders, including the President, VP of Finance, Area Vice Presidents (AVPs), District Managers, and the field sales team.
Also, partners across regions towards consistent Divisional application of strategy, policy, and procedure.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related degree (required)
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility in financial analysis, pricing, profitability analysis, product marketing, or economics.
- Prior experience utilizing SAP (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Applies pricing rules, policies, and decisions, and provides detailed explanations supporting decisions. Researches pricing discrepancies and proposes solutions to fairly resolve pricing disputes.
- Builds and maintains price levels, rent matrices, fee tables, and exemption lists.
- Collaborates with operations and functional business process teams to understand and define real cost-to-serve, and incorporate costs into pricing decision processes.
- Generates and analyzes price performance reports. Presents key findings to internal stakeholders and facilitates the development of new strategies and tactics to improve performance.
- Maintains and adjusts retail pricing in alignment with regional, divisional, and national strategies.
- Monitors and enhances margin trends by providing actionable information at a customer and material level
- Prepares sales and customer price increase support materials.
- Responsible for the updating and ongoing maintenance of all SAP price lists, working to align lists and customer placement in lists with regional profitability goals.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial/statistical modeling and pricing tools preferred.
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as the ability to discern when to escalate issues.
- Exhibits customer-focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customers’ needs, both internal and external.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications within ERP software (i.e., SAP) and SQL.
