Job Profile

The company is searching for a Production Associate who will assemble products using assigned equipment and machinery according to Standard Work instructions; operate material handling equipment; perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), daily care, safety checks, and preventive maintenance; attend pre-shift meetings and maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED Certification

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adheres to 5S organization procedures for each station/area and the entire plant.
  • Ensures all material is replenished, set up, and in its proper place to prevent or eliminate downtime.
  • Ensures Work-in-Progress (WIP) meets quality standards by performing visual and documented inspections on parts as the customer requires. Can describe defects that are being looked for at each station he/she runs.
  • Follows Standard Work instructions and Training within Industry (TWI) standards for each workstation.
  • Participates in Preventive Maintenance (PM) and cleaning of equipment/machinery as assigned; e.g., weld tips changes, spool changes, etc.
  • Performs TPM/Daily Care and safety checks per instructions and as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand, anticipate, and follow directions while exercising maturity of judgment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently to perform duties with little supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and with a variable workload (flexible hours and Overtime).
  • Good coordination of movement to carry out routine, repetitive tasks.
  • Good listening and communication (verbal and written) skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with other team members.
