Job Profile

The company is searching for a Production Foreman who will act as a key liaison between production staff and management, driving continuous improvement and addressing any operational issues to meet production goals.

Manage and guide team members and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • College degree or trade certification (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a supervisor in a heavy industrial environment (preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in leading supervisors (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert; lead, motivate, and train production supervisors and operators.
  • Assign tasks and monitor work performance to ensure productivity and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally or utilize resources to be an avid team player.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting and applying the AMBS principles to the charging, casting, and saw areas; coach and engage employees in the AMBS principles.
  • Identify and resolve any production issues or bottlenecks.
  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment and safe work practices by observing and enforcing all applicable EHS rules, including the 5S standard.
  • Mentor and develop team members; continuously improving internal customer/supplier relationships.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Perform administrative functions; APICS, SAP, Grafana, Power BI, etc.
  • Prioritize shift assignments and available staffing to meet shift safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Update and improve SOPs following production best practices.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Intermediate computer skills (office applications, APICs, SAP) are required.
  • Knowledge of the casting process and molten metal background is desirable.
  • Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment.

Work Environment

  • May occasionally be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Part of the work is performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
  • Occasionally requires physical effort, including but not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing equipment and stairs, and using various hand tools.
  • Work is mostly performed on the plant floor, where individuals will have exposure to substantial heat and loud noises.
