Job Profile

The company is hiring a high-energy, results-oriented Production Line Welder to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 1 year of experience MIG welding on steel and aluminum.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Enter data into an SAP computer system to record production
• Maintain 5S+ housekeeping to keep work areas clean and safe.
• Operate metal inert gas (MID) welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on aluminum
• Participate in final staging and packing of materials as required
• Perform all duties of a punch press operator as required (occasional)
• Perform all duties of welder helper including product staging, clamping, and cleaning
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding fixtures
• Read and understand product drawings (blueprints) and manufacturing orders

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to follow instructions and procedures with little guidance
• Ability to read and interpret product drawings (blueprints)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• May be exposed to high levels of noise and temperatures greater than 100 degrees.
• Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must have the ability to stand on feet continuously and regularly lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in troubleshooting and repairs of some welding equipment
• SAP experience.
• Three years of production welding preferred
• Two-year degree or certification in welding technology or related field

Other Requirements

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 80 KM of Calgary, AB to be considered.
