Job Profile

The company is hiring a Production Maintenance Technician who will assemble and test equipment, parts, and finished assemblies to confirm product meets the specifications prior to shipment to client.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

License/Certification

  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) to access the work location.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, and test assemblies for onshore and offshore surface and sub-sea applications.
  • Document test results as required on each project.
  • Installation of fittings and hardware on hydraulic hoses
  • Interpret test data to meet client and internal specifications.
  • Maintain training and competency requirements for each work center and special skill.
  • Perform electrical testing of electrical components and umbilicals
  • Perform high-pressure testing of hydraulic hoses, tubes, and umbilicals
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Computer skills are a must, with the ability to interpret, record, and report test data.
  • Knowledge of hydrostatic and electrical testing (preferred)
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude, ready blueprints, following schematics and work instructions.
  • A passport may be required to travel outside the US. Ability to work offshore when needed for extended periods in support of offshore work or installation support.

Additional Skills

  • Ability to communicate with others, including the production team, clients, or installation crews.
  • Ability to evaluate and repair the polyethylene jacket of umbilicals using certified work instructions defined within the competency program.
  • Ability to operate pneumatic and electric hydraulic pumps.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to travel internationally without restrictions. May require proof of vaccination based on travel requirements.
  • Be able to complete and maintain certifications and physical requirements for offshore work.
  • Maintains equipment used for testing in good working order and may be asked to perform preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Skilled in the use of electrical test equipment and in interpreting electrical test results.

Work Environment

  • Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
  • Frequently, the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels, and the light is intense/glare.
  • May require travel to provide support for installation, repair, or service as needed in offshore and international requirements
  • Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.
  • Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
  • Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
  • The work surface is stable, height is elevated.
