Job Profile

The company (Arcosa Wind Towers) is searching for a Production Manager who will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing production activities and staff

Lead the team in the manufacturing process to ensure quality and timely production

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree from a college/university (preferred)

Work Experience

• 5 years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role
• 3-year knowledge of welding, assembly, or paint (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Duties/Responsibilities

• Coordinates plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Demonstrate and model the highest ethical standards and treat all employees and coworkers with dignity and respect. Foster a culture that is positive and engaging for all employees
• Develops systems and sets performance targets and measures that appropriately assess the performance of the plant and direct reports, and reviews progress to ensure achievement of targets
• Ensures that safety, health, and environmental legal and company standards are complied with, emphasizing safety as a top priority
• Exercises independent judgment
• Fill in as needed so that production goals can be met
• Monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards by developing and reviewing reports and metrics
• Monitors schedule to accomplish manufacturing goals
• Train, instruct, and direct work activities of employees; identify succession role requirements and high potential talent, and actively train key talent
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Have a working knowledge of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering, and budgeting/expense management (strongly preferred)
• Read, write, and speak proficiently in English

Working Conditions

• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
• Full-time position, M-F, Mandatory OT can be required including weekends
• Safety sensitive role
• Frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• May require infrequent travel, including operation of a company vehicle
• Work in plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas, and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
