The company is searching for a Production Operator who will inspect and repair compressed gas cylinders.

Work Experience

• Must have the ability to become Forklift Certified.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Examine the exterior of the cylinder for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and determine whether or not to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection.
• Inspects or tests empty cylinders.
• Operates a forklift as needed to move pallets of cylinders as well as help load and unload pallets of cylinders.
• Rolls cylinders onto platform, or positions cylinders in manifold racks manually or with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Tests gas for purity using testing equipment.
• Fills cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures by any of the following methods-
• Sets pressure gauge to specified reading and watches for indication of full cylinders.
• Adjusts valves and observes gauge to fill the cylinder to the specified pressure.
• Observe the scale indicator to fill cylinders to the specified weight.
• Fills cylinder, rolls cylinder onto a scale, and connects vent line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be able to read and understand written communications.
