Job Profile

The company is seeking a Production Supervisor to join its team.

Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing, Engineering discipline/equivalent (preferred)

Work Experience

• 2+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry (highly preferred)
• 1+ years supervisory experience in high-technology manufacturing (required)
• Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment (desired)
• Prior experience in cycle time, yield, or cost improvement projects (desired)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops work schedules.
• Effectively manages individuals and teams, including performance management, conflict resolution, work scheduling, training, and successful accomplishment of delivery and quality objectives.
• Hires, trains, and develops staff members.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area to Clean Room standards.
• Maintains a current training/skill matrix.
• Oversees all production issues for a work group or shift.
• Supervises manufacturing personnel in the weld and assembly areas.
• Works closely with materials, engineering, quality, and other staff to ensure delivery schedules are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.
• Completes manufacturing-related projects as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met.
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications; Visual preferred.

Work Environment

• Work is performed primarily in an office and manufacturing environment.
• Works in a manufacturing area, with some changes of temperature, as well as throughout the premises.
• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
• May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.
• Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment (training and meetings).

Physical Demands

• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to stand for sustained periods.
• Ability to talk on the phone and use the computer for extended periods may be required.
