Job Profile

The company is searching for a Production Supervisor to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma/GED plus a minimum of 7 years of manufacturing assembly experience with progressive management experience
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 or more years of manufacturing experience with progressive management experience

Work Experience

• Experience building and managing schedules
• Experience in maintaining and operating on a budget
• Experience with takt times

Duties/Responsibilities

• Communicate objectives and other vital information to employees via written postings and employee stand-up meetings.
• Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures.
• Follows established procedures and drives continuous improvement in the plant’s manufacturing processes
• Forge working relationships with peers.
• Hire and coordinate the training of new employees.
• Lead and direct a core team of people to meet quality and efficiency targets vital to achieving customer satisfaction.
• Manage daily takt time to meet production goals.
• Manage time and attendance software, including vacation schedule, sick calls, and employee coverage.
• Resolves issues related to the organization’s production, machinery, processing, or packaging operations.
• Supervise employee efficiency and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
• Understand, support and drive quality initiatives.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read prints and SOPs
• Able to identify training needs and deliver necessary training

Preferred Qualifications

• General understanding of MRP/ERP, Shopfloor scheduling
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement exposure
• Past supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (strongly preferred)
• Proficiency in various systems, i.e., eTime, Excel, Word, Outlook, Alstar
• Proven understanding of equipment and tools used in the plant
• Strong assembly background
• Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
• Understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems

Work Environment

• Exposure to noise and machinery
• Fast-paced and deadline-driven
• On-site in manufacturing facilities
• Shift work, including nights or weekends
• Standing and walking for long periods
