Job Profile

The company is looking for a Production Welder who will help with all welding of quality production.

The position will use MIG equipment to assist in the creation of smooth-wall bins and hoppers through drawings, verbal direction, or written work orders.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have obtained Grade 12 Education

Work Experience

• Possess 1-year of welding knowledge (preferably with MIG welders)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Actively supports and complies with all Westeel’s policies and procedures.
• Actively supports and complies with safety programs, quality assurance programs, labour laws, human rights legislation, and occupational health and safety laws.
• Assist in the housekeeping and cleanliness of the facility.
• Assist in the manufacturing and prepping of all products.
• Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of all Westeel equipment.
• Maintenance of MIG welders and a variety of jigs.
• Must be capable of working under a minimum amount of supervision.
• Read drawings and follow work orders.
• To work with fellow team members to produce a high-quality product safely and efficiently.
• Weld sheet Metal with MIG welders.
• Weld to CWB standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be able to understand and conduct written and verbal instructions per supervisor’s requests
