Job Profile

The company is looking to hire a Production Welder B to join its production team.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Higher

Work Experience

  • Candidates with prior work-related experience will be a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter time and labor reporting daily
  • Assist other employees in setup and execution
  • Change gas bottles and wire as needed
  • Follow parameters set by standard specifications to produce quality parts
  • Ensure quality welds are being performed and documented
  • Knowledge of the use of fixtures to hold items while being welded
  • Maintain acceptable levels of production
  • Make adjustments with assistance to wire-feeders, gas, and voltage controls as necessary
  • Operate air arc equipment
  • Operate pattern torch
  • Perform set-up, operation, and adjustment of automatic (Sub Arc and MIG) and standard welders on a variety of parts with assistance
  • Perform water test function on units
  • Report any defective material that is recognized
  • Safely operate an oxygen/acetylene torch
  • Work safely and maintain a clean work area
  • Train and evaluate others as requested to ensure they are performing as required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs. approximately 3-5 times per hour.
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Ability to stand for approximately 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to use a crane to assist in lifting parts from off skids onto work areas.
  • Ability to use precision measuring gauges and equipment.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Must be certified periodically to perform specific welds.
