Job Profile
The company is searching for a Program Quality Engineer who will assume the role of liaison between the manufacturing facility, the program office, and the customer.
Plan methods to verify conformance with customer specifications and engineering requirements.
Education Level
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related discipline and 2 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of an advanced Degree and experience)
Work Experience
- Experience in project management (desired)
- Experience and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-platform electronic environment is required.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Applies modern quality principles, concepts, and methods to routine aerospace and manufacturing operations, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools. (20%)
- Interfaces with the Material Review Board (MRB) to provide technical justification when a nonconformance to mutually agreed specifications is determined. (10%)
- Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements, and company quality requirements to ensure compliance with the customer’s expectations. (20%)
- Prepares comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports, and presentations for customer review throughout the evaluation process. Review all supplier data and ensure that it is complete and accurate before the data is reviewed by the customer. (20%)
- Utilizes engineering background and expertise to communicate and coordinate actions between team members, program office, and customer counterparts (internal & external). In doing so, assure that the hardware is compliant with specifications and that key quality performance metrics are being met. Handles and communicates deviations/nonconformance at different levels within the organization. Understands and communicates typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, non-destructive testing, etc.) and how they are applied to the hardware being manufactured. (30%)

- Demonstrated ability to drive actions and results while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and integrity is desired.
- Exposure to product development in a multi-functional team environment is desired but not required.
- Must demonstrate emotional intelligence while working in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
- Must have strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively establish positive working relationships with various operational groups, all levels of employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Must have the ability to analyze, evaluate, and develop solutions to a variety of situations (technical, organizational, etc.).
- Must possess the ability to motivate and inspire change.
- Must possess the skills to coach/mentor individuals to work effectively under time and budget constraints.
