Job Profile
The company is looking for a QC Inspector (CWI) who shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of processes, codes, and job specifications and can perform routine Q.A/Q.C product inspections as required.
The Q.C inspector shall be knowledgeable in Q.A/Q.C equipment operations and associated documentation of inspections and testing.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- 1-3 months of related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- The level of QA Inspector and pay range is dependent on the current certifications held that fall in a specific point range on the NWP QA Certification Rating Card-
- 9 – 15 points = C
- 16 – 24 points = B
- 25+ points = A
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist Inspection Supervisor/Leaden and Q.A/Q.C personnel as needed
- Assure the product meets or exceeds standards and specifications
- Available to accommodate a flexible work schedule
- Maintain documentation
- Perform NDE Inspection and documentation (as qualified)
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Effectively communicate Q.A/Q.C requirements and objectives between supervision and lead personnel
- Work at a pace sufficient to obtain quality and quantity of inspection/testing, consistent with operational requirements
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to locate and compute metric conversions
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- As needed the employee should have sufficient education, training, and experience to ensure qualification in inspection methods, which are being employed
- Demonstrated ability to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily
Certificates/Licenses
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – required for A through C Inspectors.
- NACE Certification (preferred)
