Job Profile

The company is seeking a QC Inspector D to join its Northwest Pipe team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assure the product meets or exceeds standards and specifications
  • Effectively communicate QA/QC requirements and objectives between supervision and lead personnel
  • Maintain documentation
  • Perform NDE inspection and documentation (as qualified)
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Work at a pace sufficient to obtain quality and quantity of inspection/testing, consistent with operational requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned by the QC Supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to compute ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • As needed the employee should have sufficient education, training, and experience to ensure qualification in inspection methods, which are being employed.
