Job Profile

The company is searching for a QC Inspector III who will be responsible for reviewing aerospace components and details during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring jet engine components and details to ensure they meet physical specifications and engine manual requirements.

Required to create the necessary documentation to verify conformity.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Associate degree in an aviation-related field (preferred)

Work Experience

  • At least 1 year of relevant aviation work experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required on aviation-related equipment (airframe, powerplant, and or avionic)

License/Certification

  • Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications (preferred)
  • Certify visual acuity to NAS-410

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the Operations and Engineering team
  • Inspect and test components and details machined or fabricated by Operations
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e., speaking, reading, and writing
  • Perform product audits to ensure the process can produce hardware
  • Read blueprints, specifications, and the engine manual to ensure that components meet production standards
  • Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
  • Remove products that do not meet production standards and document the quality error
  • Use gadgets such as micrometers, verniers, tapes, and gauges to measure products

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Accurate report writing and documentation skills
  • Expert in reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient in defect detection and root cause analysis
  • Skilled in using gauges, calipers, and measuring tools
  • Strong knowledge of ISO and quality standards

Work Environment

  • Follows strict safety and quality protocols
  • May involve standing for long periods
  • Regular exposure to noise, dust, and machinery
  • Requires precision tools and inspection equipment
  • Works in manufacturing, lab, or warehouse settings
