Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Quality Assurance Supervisor who will help to take the business to the next level.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a technical background such as engineering or material science, hold certification through ASQ or similar, and have experience with quality assurance programs and NDE/welding
Work Experience
- Possess supervisory experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensuring conformance with all codes, standards, and contract requirements
- Expertise with various codes and standards including ASME, API, NACE, ASTM, MSS, ISO, and CSA to provide advice to Engineering, Operations, and other internal and external users
- Maintain document control of policies and procedures for assigned areas
- Managing the facility’s QESH program (Quality, Environment, Safety, Health) and program certifications
- Oversight of tasks related to maintenance of the well-established quality system programs for CSA N285.0, CSA N299, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
- Represent the facility during certification and customer audits
- Supervision of QA department personnel, Shop Inspectors, and ESH staff
- Participate in supplier review and approval system
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of related ASME Code is required including Section III, Section V, and Section IX
- Knowledge of QESH-related standards and codes plus knowledge of various NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) techniques, welding techniques, procedures, and materials related to the manufacture of the product line
- Work independently with occasional guidance from the Head of Sulzer Pumps and interacts with other corporate quality program groups
