Job Profile
The company is seeking a Quality Engineer for John Deere Tractor Cab Assembly Operations.
The position will support the factory manufacturing operations to improve business performance.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a college or university
Work Experience
- Experience implementing change in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution
- Experience in the use of and applying quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Root Cause Analysis
- Experience in the use of manufacturing information systems (SAP, MP Planner, Creo, JDAAT, JD Tester/RTT/EDAT)
- Experience with formal NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action) processes
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead inter-factory liaison quality execution
- Collect, analyze, and execute assembly control plans and data streams
- Develop, innovate, or improve Quality tools that support the business
- Investigate product and process defects for root cause and corrective action recommendation
- Lead tactical Order Fulfillment Process responsibilities for the business
- Mentor and develop Quality team members
- Reinforce published policies and procedures
- Support Development and Execution of Order Fulfillment Process Quality Initiatives
- Support external regulatory audit (ISO)
- Support introduction of new products and current product change control
- Support quality planning activities
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to lead and facilitate large meetings
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated Project Management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ or Six Sigma Training or certifications
- Controlled manufacturing experience in manufacturing engineering, supply management, quality engineering, or operations
- Experience implementing change in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution
- Experience in working with inter-factory teams
- Experience using advanced quality tools aligned with ASQs Book of Knowledge
- Experience with Ag equipment applications
- Experience with Data Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc.)
- Extensive systems and product knowledge of large agricultural equipment and weld fabrication
