Job Profile
The company is searching for a Quality Gear Inspector who will conduct the initial and final inspection of machined parts to meet quality standards most cost-effectively.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Experience in an inspection environment (with gears a plus)
- Computer experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists engineers and supervision to make improvements to parts, methods, and fixturing
- Initiate reject reports and tags to identify discrepancies
- Inspect all final dimensional characteristics before shipment
- Perform first-piece inspections
- Repair and calibrate gage and testing equipment
- Uses overhead cranes and hoists to move and position parts
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists and overhead cranes, shop and personal measuring instruments, computers, etc.
