Job Profile

The company is searching for a Quality Gear Inspector who will conduct the initial and final inspection of machined parts to meet quality standards most cost-effectively.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • Experience in an inspection environment (with gears a plus)
  • Computer experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assists engineers and supervision to make improvements to parts, methods, and fixturing
  • Initiate reject reports and tags to identify discrepancies
  • Inspect all final dimensional characteristics before shipment
  • Perform first-piece inspections
  • Repair and calibrate gage and testing equipment
  • Uses overhead cranes and hoists to move and position parts

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists and overhead cranes, shop and personal measuring instruments, computers, etc.
